Most people meet us online before they meet us in person. They watch a property walkthrough, come across a photo, or send a question about a home that caught their attention.

That first connection has become an important part of our work at MyHouse. On January 31, I had the opportunity to share my experience with the top 100 agents of Filipino Homes at Radisson Blu Hotel.

My talk was titled “Content That Sells: How to Use Social Media to Hit ₱100M a Year.” It was an opportunity to talk about the work behind our social media presence and how it helps us connect with people considering a property.

I was grateful to be speaking to a room of accomplished colleagues, sharing something that has become such a big part of how Angie and I work.

Before you visit, you want to get a feel for the place

When you’re looking at a property, there’s only so much a beautiful photograph can tell you.

You might want to see how the rooms connect, what the surroundings look like, or whether the space feels right for the way you plan to use it. A family home, a place to stay during visits to Cebu, and a rental investment can lead to very different questions.

Those are the kinds of things we want our content to help you explore.

A walkthrough gives you another look inside. Photos from our visits show you what we saw while we were there. Our explanations give you a starting point for deciding what you’d like to ask next.

A familiar face when you’re buying from afar

For clients living overseas, that connection can mean a little more.

You may be exploring properties between work and family commitments, with a trip to the Philippines still months away. Being able to watch a video, hear us explain a project, and ask a question from wherever you are can make the process feel more familiar.

By the time we speak, you may already have seen Angie showing a unit or joined me on a visit through one of our videos. We’re always happy when someone tells us, “I’ve been watching your videos.”

It’s a lovely way to begin a conversation.

Getting to know what matters to you

The conversation is where we get to understand your plans.

What drew you to that particular property? Who would be staying there? Are you hoping to move in, visit occasionally, or rent it out?

Your answers help us make the next conversation more useful. We can look at choices together, explain the details, and give you room to think.

That is the experience we want people to have when they reach out to MyHouse. You’re welcome to ask questions, even if you’re only beginning to explore.
