Nine years in real estate, approaching ten, and I still have days that remind me how much there is to learn.
At Eastland Hotel, I had the chance to share some of that experience with fellow real estate professionals in a talk called “For the Ones Who Keep Going.”
This can be a challenging career. There are conversations that don’t lead to a sale, plans that change, and long stretches of work before anything comes together. Staying encouraged takes effort. So does showing up with patience and care for the next person who needs your help.
But it has also been a career I’m deeply grateful for.
I’ve met people I would never otherwise have known, helped clients find homes, and built relationships that have lasted beyond a single purchase. Those experiences are a big part of why I’m still here.
Over the years, I’ve learned to listen more closely and give people room to decide. A buyer may be planning a return to the Philippines, looking for a family home, or considering their first rental investment. Each conversation deserves time and attention.
Speaking to that room was a chance to reflect on the work and encourage others finding their way in it.
To the clients who have trusted me along the way, thank you. You’ve helped make these nearly ten years a career worth continuing.
